Visits, deposits, and policies

Yes, a +1 is always happily welcome! If you are planning on having more people show up, please let your artist know well in advance so they can be prepared.

Yes and no. While yes you can, it is heavily advised to not work out the area that has been tattooed for at least a week after. If you will be working out other areas of your body with a fresh tattoo, be sure any equipment, clothing, etc that touch it are clean, and that your tattoo is cleaned thoroughly before, during and immediately after working out.

Custom pieces: $100, applied to your final session. Flash: full price up front. Deposits are non-refundable but transferable to a rescheduled date with 48-hr notice.

No, do not EVER rewrap your tattoos unless it is with a second skin like DERMSHIELD or SANIDERM. If you need to cover your healing tattoo, clean clothes will suffice. As long as you are keeping your tattoo clean and lightly moisturized, you will be fine.

Do not rip whatever is sticking to your skin off. Wet with lukewarm water until pliable and remove carefully. If you are stuck to your bedding, bottled water works fine too. Clean tattoo thoroughly after circumstances like this to avoid dandruff, lint, hair, etc from staying in your healing tattoo.

48-hr notice keeps your deposit. Inside 48 hrs, the deposit is non-refundable but you can rebook at the regular rate. If you no-call/no-show, the deposit is gone, and you'll need to book with a different artist next time. Things happen; just tell us beforehand and we'll work it out.

Correct! The healing process is definitely one of those "trust the process" moments. Your tattoo may look UGLY with scabbing, flaky skin, and dryness, and that's all completely normal. The peel can come off in little colored flakes too, which alarms a lot of first-timers; that is just dead skin with ink in it, not your tattoo falling out. Don't pick at it. Keep up the gentle cleaning and light moisturizing, and the "ugly phase" will not last very long.
Healing and aftercare

Yes, once the bandage is off. Keep the water lukewarm, keep the direct spray off the fresh tattoo when you can, and pat it dry instead of rubbing. No baths, pools, hot tubs, or other soaking until it is fully closed, which is roughly two weeks.

Most pieces get a free touch-up within six months. After that, a small fee covers the artist's time and materials. Send your artist a clear, well-lit photo once the tattoo is fully healed and they will let you know whether a touch-up is worth booking.

While it is healing, keep it covered or out of direct sun entirely. Once it is healed, use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher any time it will be out for more than a few minutes. UV is the single biggest reason tattoos fade, so a small bottle of mineral sunscreen is the cheapest way to keep your lines and color sharp for years.
